To best care for their guests, the couple kept one essential theme in mind - warmth and comfort. The country-style Inn has a charm that makes every guest feel at home both at the inn and in the picturesque town of Twain Harte, CA. Of special interest, McCaffrey House was voted "Best B&B in Tuolumne County" by readers of the Sonora Union Democrat.

General gathering areas are spacious and tastefully decorated, with a large collection of furniture and art acquired by Michael and Stephanie during their travels. Each guest room is artfully decorated in an accent of colors borrowed from the queen or king sized quilts - handmade by the Amish of Lancaster County, Pennsylvania.

Accommodations include a full breakfast, served in the Inn's dining room. Its warm decor makes the room a friendly gathering place. Guests enjoy a variety of menus prepared by Stephanie. On sunny days, guests may be served on the Inn's spacious deck with its views of the California mountain forests and the sound of the natural stream.
